Shining Light Energy Works looks to relieve pain free of charge with a new monthly program.
Shining Light Energy Works will launch its “Paying It Forward” Program by offering its services free of charge to local law enforcement on Friday and Saturday, June 5th and 6th.
The clinic will shut down its normal business two days each month, but the doors will remain open to provide free services to law enforcement agencies in the Dallas area.
Sue Siebens, owner of Shining Light Energy Works, said that if you are blessed with talent and skills, then you can give back. That is exactly what she plans to do with her “Paying It Forward” campaign.
“I know that I am very fortunate to be able to build on the successes of those that came before me and to grow with the support of those here today,” Siebens said. “It’s my community that creates this wonderful city where I live and work. I have a wonderful opportunity to give back in a meaningful way through these pain relieving techniques.”
Bowenwork is a gentle touch therapy that affects the body through a series of soft rolling moves over muscles and connective tissue. Bowenwork engages the body as a whole by stimulating the nervous, musculoskeletal and fascial systems to rebalance. The mind-body produces an integrated response which improves circulation and lymphatic drainage, resets tension in fascia and muscles and relaxes “the stress” and other emotions that are locked in the body.
“Instead of trying to make the body change, I’m giving the body enough and the right kind of information to get the body to change itself”, said Siebens. “Such small moves don’t seem like they should have such a large effect, but they really incite huge changes.”
Siebens said she wants to bring this service to those who are vital to the community through her monthly “Paying It Forward” program. Free service days will be offered to those who work in a number of fields, including law enforcement, teaching, nursing, first responders and military men and women: active duty and veterans.
