Bowen Technique Cuts Scoliosis Pain

Announcing a Scoliosis Case Study opportunity for YOU

Starting in November 2017, I’ll be conducting a case study for clients with Scoliosis using the Bowen Technique.  Clients will to commit to at least a 6 week program of Bowen sessions once a week. Their initial condition and progress will be documented as part of the study.

Tom Bowen, late of Geelong, Australia, developed a specific protocol to help Scoliosis.  He held a free clinic twice a month on Saturday mornings for children with disabilities. This is likely where he developed his Thoracic procedure, that runScoliosiss energy from the neck down to blocks in the spine, then radiating throughout the chest cavity.

His Scoliosis protocol is a six week course that starts with a balancing session.  Balancing is the main goal of every first Bowen session as it resets and resolves many fascia issues that present as the first layer that needs to be addressed.  The second through fifth weeks consists of Thoracic procedures, alternating left, right, left, right, each successive week. The thoracic procedure is done “alone on the day” with no other work done, which lets the body have singular focus on this work. The sixth week is another balancing session.   The six weeks is followed by one month of rest. Then if necessary, the six week protocol is started again, until the spine has corrected.

It would be awesome if I could now link you to a scientific study(s) that proves any of this!  but alas, Bowen is new-ish and not highly funded. There is however anecdotal accounts of success with spine straightening at one end of the spectrum and great pain relief where the spine has not fully aligned.

To that end, I’ve wanting to prove (or disprove) the effects of the throacic procedure by starting with documented case studies. I’m looking for scoliosis clients that would like to try this procedure.  Age is not a factor.

IF YOU HAVE SCOLIOSIS, please contact me!

The following link is one of those anecdotal stories I’d like to fully document in the case study.
